Route 123 was perused again. Siobhan glanced around, wondering what she would find fleetingly before it happened. the last few times she encountered the wilds on her own, it did not bear much fruit. time to change that.

the abandoned fishing hut was the only thing of interest here. she approached it, frowning. yes, she had come here last week... but had found nothing important save for old documents. her hand reached for the open door frame...

and paused.

there was someone behind her. and it was no spirit.

She found herself strolling the worn out path of route 123 with her lycanroc. Her search for poison type continue, still having a decent size list of creatures she wanted. The tournament was raging, causing many of the routes to be barren. That was why she was here, hoping more pokemon would be out without the swarm of constant humans about. But as Genny strolled the the route in search for her first catch of the day, movement caught her attention in the corner of her eye. Even her Midnight form canine spotted this, letting out a low warning growl.

Although they say that curiosity kills the cat, Genesis wasn’t going to pass up an opportunity to snag a rare creature if that what it was. Green orbs flickered over the docks in the distance, spotting a silhouette of a woman moving about and disappeared into one of the abandoned fishing huts. It wasn’t no pokemon, but she was intrigued as to who was about and about.

Cautiously, the team rocket grunt moved closer to investigate. But just as she followed the mysterious person into the hut, she was right there. “Oh fuck,” she mumbled, startled to the point where she put her hand over her heart, “You scared the shit out of me.” The woman took a moment to calm her racing heart, taking deep breaths to smooth over the adrenaline rush.

"my apologizes."

Siobhan's soft vocals would reach the other woman regardless of tune. she turns her head to look at the raven haired woman, realization flashing in her eyes. was this genesis aria fox , a member of Rocket? she faintly recalled the information about other Rockets. she had yet to meet so many others. it was time to remedy that.

"I had come here before" she adds, looking back at the empty hut "there is some strange energy here, and I wish to know what sort of thing or things... caused the fishers to flee" there was dust here, but also signs of struggle and panic. her keen folklorist eyes caught all this. "of course" a hint of amusement...

"I also want to capture Pokémon."

Despite Genesis being the one who snuck up on her, it seemed like it scared her more than it scared the lady. Even as the strange woman spoke, she had a cool and collected tone to her. Her gaze observed this stranger scanning the abandoned hut, brow rose in curiosity for what on earth she was talking about. Did she know the people that lived here? Was this her home before? Who was she looking for? So many questions raced through her thoughts but at the mention of pokemon, they disappeared.

A grin tugged the edges of her lips, feeling the need to explain herself for some reason. “Oh yeah,” she replied, half chuckling, “I was looking for pokemon too. I saw a shadow over here and thought it was a pokemon.” A half lie, knowing she was following someone sneaking about. But she hide it well, not that it was hard to hide. “Guess you are not a pokemon.” She paused, eyes narrowed playfully at the woman as though she was hiding some thing. “Or are you?” The soft smile returned.

"to my knowledge, no" Siobhan smirks thinly "I am not a Pokémon." sorry to disappoint, raven hair. she glanced away, searching the bookshelf nearby for any documents before speaking again.

"if you are seeking Pokémon, I do not mind sharing the space" she adds over her shoulder "I am mostly looking for dark-types." if the woman was too... well, they may have to fight over the cramped area.

The moment came and pass, the rush of adrenaline subsided with it. A soft sigh escaped her, brow rose at the woman as she seemed to be occupied by something else. “Dark types, huh?” Genesis mumbled, turning to look out the window. To her disbelief, a toxel was wondering about. “Oh hey!” Turning to this mysterious woman, she gave her a grin. “I’ll be right back.”

Rushing out the door with her lycanroc, the woman pointed to the wild pokemon. “Use Stone Edge to trap it, then Rock Slide.” The canine didn’t hesitate, slamming her fist into the ground. The ground quaked, large sharp rocks rose out of the ground all around the wild pokemon. It panicked, trying to find a way out but with no prevail. Once trapped, the rock type send a pile of rock down upon the creature. The toxel creature screamed, knocking out shortly after. Snatching an empty ball from her pocket, she tossed the ball to capture it.

Once the capture was successful, the pair peeked into the hut. A wide grin spread crossed her face, wiggling her fingers at her in a wave. “I’m back. Did you find anything while I was gone?”

when Genesis would leave to do her own thing, Siobhan spotted a Mawile. one had escaped her last time she was here so she approached delicately. slowly. gently. the fairy would watch her uneasily until she dropped to it's level.

Siobhan did not reach out an arm, mindful of the double edged 'blade' the Mawile had. it seemed to recall her being here previously; acknowledgement lit up his face. slowly, he'd approach and stick out a hand.

she took it, giving it a gentle shake. a greeting. the Mawile cooed gently as it was offered a spare Pokeball, tapping the center itself and disappearing within. Genesis would return at that moment.

"yes, I found something" she says, holding the full sphere up.

To her surprised, the woman held up a pokeball that she could only assume was freshly caught. If Genesis knew she was looking for a pokemon, they could have left the hut. She assumed she was looking for papers or something in the hut. It seemed like they both got something while out here.

“Cool,” she replied cheerfully, approaching the woman with a large grin on her face, “What did you catch? A fairy or dark type?” There weren’t many fairy types the rocket grunt liked, only a few she had herself. And dark types, a lot of them looked cool and that was the only reason behind her looking for some. “Can I see?”

"it was a fairy and steel type" Siobhan explains, tossing the Pokeball onto the ground. the newly caught Mawile stares up at Genesis, waving a friendly enough hand at her "did you find something?"

slowly, the conversation was opening her up. she spots a Clefairy out of the corner of her eye, but does not go for it. ignoring the basic little Pokemon, Siobhan wishes for greater things.

Upon the mawile being released, the rocket grunt inspected it carefully. Her green orbs shifted from on part of the creature to the next, hand even came to her chin as if she was really interested in it. But after a moment of her weird look over, a grin returned. “Nice! It looks strong!” It didn’t look stranger than her thought. She giggled in her thoughts. “I got one though a trade a while back. Strange looking but a good pokemon.”

At the mention of her capture, her grin got even bigger. “Yeah!” This seemed to excite her a little too much. “I got myself another Toxel- or well…. I have a evolved form and wanted to get another.”

In the corner of her eye, she spots a sableye pass by their abandoned hut. “Oh look! A sableye!” Like a kid in a candy store, she darted after the wild pokemon without a second thought. Although she already had one, the more the merrier. Right? Once in close range, she ordered for her canine to attack. She rushed forward, muzzle opened wide to CRUNCH down on the sableye. It screeched, thrashing about in the canine’s mouth before surrendering. Genesis smiled, tossing a ball to capture it once her creature dragged it back to her.

“I got it!”
